May 1st Events: CROWNING OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY FEAST OF ST. JOSEPH, THE WORKER: BLESSING OF THE HANDS
On Monday, May 1st at the 8:00 AM Mass, the large statue of our Blessed Virgin Mary will be crowned for the month of May. Flowers will adorn that shrine for the month in honor of Our Lady. The daily 8:00 Rosary Group and the Monday Night Marion Novena will sponsor the florals for the month. The crowning will take place prior to the start of the Mass. Please ensure a prompt arrival as not to miss the occasion. We will have music for the Crowning and Mass by Augie Castagnola.
Also, May 1st is the Feast Day for St. Joseph, the Worker. St Joseph was venerated by the Catholic Church as a patron saint of workers. We especially welcome craftsmen to come and have their hands blessed at Mass. Craftsmen include, but are not limited to carpenters, bricklayers, tile-setters, painters, framers, and roofers. All are welcome.
Following the Mass, please join us outside in the gathering area for fellowship and a light breakfast. Contact Margie Morones at 310-918-1805 for further information.
