This annual commemoration of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is a wonderful opportunity for all people to come together without regard to race, ethnicity, culture, or nationality. Let us come together as people of faith who are fighting for peace, justice, and equality among the varied peoples of our respective communities.
We are privileged to have as celebrant and homilist The Most Reverend Fernand J. Cheri, OFM Auxiliary Bishop of New Orleans Bishop Cheri will preach this liturgy that will affirm and celebrate our cultural diversity in Word and Sacrament. All are welcome – Catholics and non-Catholics of all racial and ethnic backgrounds – throughout the nation. Please join us as we gather as one people in prayer and reflection to answer the clarion call to also become drum majors for justice in 2021!!
