The Feast of the Immaculate Conception is a holy day of obligation. She is the patroness of the United States.
Mass Schedule: Monday, December 9th (Feast Day):
8:00 a.m.: Mass
9:30 a.m.: Mass (Holy Trinity School)
The Feast of the Immaculate Conception centers on the belief that Jesus’ mother, the Virgin Mary, was conceived without sin. Pope Pius IX issued an apostolic constitution, known as the Ineffabilis Deus, on December 8, 1854. The church gives us these “Holy days” as an opportunity to set aside the challenges of our life and world and to step away for awhile and be refreshed by the Lord. We invite all of you to take advantage of this “Holy Day” of obligation/opportunity.
