This is my last Sunday as Director of Music for Holy Trinity parish. For the past 33 years I’ve worked as a professional liturgical musician, at Mary Star of the Sea, St. Margaret Mary, St. Lawrence Martyr, St. Paul the Apostle and for 19 most happy years, at Holy Trinity.
I want to take this opportunity to thank the community for bringing me into the church family and welcoming me as you did in 2001, just a year before we were able to rededicate the church. I’m grateful that Fr. Tom trusted me with the music ministry and allowed me to build up the adult choir, children’s choir and to continue the development of the liturgy committee.
I’ve loved working with the clergy, the pastoral staff, the liturgy committee, my inspiring musical colleagues, and most of all our wonderful volunteers. It has been my greatest joy and privilege to serve at Holy Trinity.
Now I feel called to return to my original profession, using the musical gifts God has given me as a private music instructor and orchestral flutist. I enjoy sharing my love of music with others; teaching, coaching and performing. I ask your prayers in my success as I depart on this next musical journey.
It is my sincerest wish that Holy Trinity’s music ministry will rebuild and flourish in the years to come. When we are able to sing together again, as a worshipping assembly praising our God and sharing God’s love with others, my joy will be full for this sacred community of believers.
