New Director of Religious Education
New Director of Religious Education
Molly Slaught

Please welcome Mrs. Molly Slaught, our New DRE.  She is a master catechist and a long time religious education teacher at St. John Fisher.  Molly has great ideas and vast experience to form our children after the image of Jesus Christ.
Children have the right to know Jesus Christ.  Helping our children to build their life on the Rock of Faith is our responsibility.  Register your child for the religious education program today after all morning Masses.  Please volunteer to help Mrs. Molly Slaught (DRE) and Ms. Alice Sandoval (Secretary) in their efforts to help our children to know Jesus more deeply and dearly.
I take this opportunity to express my appreciation and gratitude to Mrs. Caitlin D’Ambrosi for her service to Holy Trinity as DRE for the year 2016-2017.  By her youthful spirit and spiritual insights she brought freshness and new ideas to the ministry.  I wish her all the best and God’s blessings in her future undertaking.

—Fr. Sebastian

Greetings to everyone at Holy Trinity, my name is Molly Slaught.  It is with joy and excitement that I have accepted the position of DRE and am thrilled to be a part of the catechetical team here at Holy Trinity.  Sharing my faith in God and the richness and fullness of our Catholic traditions has been a part of my life for many years.  For the past 23 years I have been a catechist at St. John Fisher; 9 years as the coordinator for the Early Childhood program and then moving to second grade teaching and preparing the children for sacraments.  Some of the other ministries I am involved in are Bereavement, Adult Faith Formation and pre-Baptism classes for parents of infants.  Because of some amazing mentors along the way who inspired and encouraged me to enroll in the Master Catechist Program through the Archdiocese, five years ago I was commissioned as Master Catechist.  Originally from Minnesota where my extended family still lives; my parents moved us to Phoenix, AZ in the late ‘60s, and after finishing school I worked for a large real estate brokerage.  A job change brought me to California almost 30 years ago where I met my husband of 26 years, John.  We have two sons, Matthew, who was just married in Ireland this month and Patrick, who will be starting college at Colorado State next month.  My husband was a widower with 5 grown children and we are the very proud grandparents of 13 grandchildren ranging in age from 2 to 29.  I am blessed to have a full and happy life and look forward to being a friendly Catholic and having a family friendly religious education program here at Holy Trinity.
